The Reagan JROTC instructors are the foundation for our Corps. The SASI (Senior Aerospace Science Instructor) Major Mark Benyo and the ASI (Aerospace Science Instructor) Chief Master Sergeant Douglas McIntyre work tirelessly to esnure the highest levels of success are achieved by this Corps, but they also allow the Corps of Cadets and its Officers to take responsibility and steer the unit.
Major Mark Benyo is the Senior Aerospace Science Instructor for AFJROTC at Reagan High School. He was originally from Burton (outside Cleveland) and began his military career in 1985 as a young enlisted fuels specialist; he eventually earned his commission in 1995 after graduating from the University of South Carolina. Major Benyo retired in 2011, and after a few years of working in the DC area, he began the pursuit of his passion to work with kids, so he started working in the program in August 2013. His ultimate goal is to challenge the Corp's cadets to improve themselves in all facets of life, but he hopes they gain an appreciation of how to work as part of a team, show and earn respect, and be a better citizen in the world.
