Corps Commander
c/COL Nathaniel M. Somma
As the Corps Commander, Nathaniel Somma leads the Corp's staff and directs the vision of the Corps at Ronald Wilson Reagan High School. He is responsible for managing all commanders in order to ensure information is disseminated, procedures are executed, and individual abilities are employed in the most efficient and effective manner.
He lead the Corps to its most successful year ever, as it won the district Commander's Cup for the second time in a row. He has finished 1st in the district LET I-III boards, as well as the Brigade Board, earning himself the position of the WSFCS Joint Staff Brigade Commander, the first in Reagan history and the first ever to go undefeated in all 4 LET Boards. Throughout his high school career, Nathaniel has served his Corps as the Mission Support Commander, Academic Team Commander, and Special Projects Officer. In addition, he has been involved in the Marksmanship Rifle Team for four years, the Academic Team for two years, the Cyber Team for two years, the Orienteering Team, and has done Color Guards. Aside from his JROTC involvement, he is the concertmaster of the Reagan orchestra, the President of the DECA/FBLA club, and a member of the NHS. Nathaniel is going to attend NC State University, where he aims to major in statistics and minor in political science.
His vision for the Corps is to facilitate greater teamwork between staff members to develop and refine the Corps. Amidst the challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic, Nathaniel maintains his focus on returning his Corps to a state in which it can safely resume the activities that are so deeply missed by its cadets. By embracing technology, he is sure his Corps can surmount this unprecedented obstacle and excel in virtual learning.
Vice Corps Commander
c/LTC Soren Webb
As the Vice Corps Commander, Soren Webb is the direct leader of the four c/Majors within the Top 8. He implements the ideas of the Corps Commander and ensures their proper execution. Whenever the Corps Commander is unavailable, the Vice Corps Commander presides over the staff. Soren has previously held the position of Flight Commander; despite uncertain times amidst the pandemic and virtual learning, he led his flight (Falcon) to first place in the Honor Flight competition for second semester. Soren is incredibly involved in teams, having competed on all of them throughout his four years at Reagan: Rifle Team, Raider Team, Drill Team, Cyber Team, Academic Team, and Color Guard. His expertise is Rifle; he consistently placed top in the district competitions, and even made it to a NC state competition. Although this is a year like never before, Soren is prepared for developing the best staff possible, regardless of the challenges. After high school, Soren hopes to attend LSU and continue his leadership training in AFROTC.
Senior Enlisted Advisor
c/CMS Liam Sajnacki
Liam Sajnacki holds the highest enlisted rank in all JROTC. He acts as the direct contact between all enlisted cadets and the Corps Commander. He works directly for the Corps Commander, carrying out his vision for the Corps and ensuring it is executed properly. Liam has previously been a flight sergeant; working with the largest flight, Hercules, he established his willingness to put in more work than expected of him, and perform it all successfully. Liam has been involved with the Academic Team, and also regularly attends the Corps' community service events: Adopt-A-Highways and Campus Clean-Ups. After high school, he plans on attending college and studying engineering at NC State.
Brigade Representative
c/LTC Micah Norris
Micah Norris holds the position of the second highest officer rank; he works directly for the Corps Commander, keeping him updated on all Brigade events. Micah conducts all domestic boards, and helps train cadets for competing in the district LET boards. Previously, Micah has been the Color Guard Commander and Public Affairs Officer (the latter he did as the only sophomore on the whole staff, other than Nathaniel). Micah has been on the Drill Team and Color Guard throughout all of his JROTC career, helping those teams to achieve success in all their events. He has also been on the Academic Team and Raider Team. Micah continually boosts the morale of the Top 8, staff, and entire Corps. Micah is able to present a jovial disposition, yet also one of responsibility and prudence. After high school, Micah will attend college and major in history.
Squadron Commander (Apache)
c/Maj. Corey Gambill
Corey Gambill is repsonsible for ensuring the successful administration of all four of the Apache flights. He is directly above the Apollo, Bomber, Cobra, and Dragon Flight Commanders, and directly under the Vice Corps Commander. He has previously been a Flight Commander, leading his flight (Gunship) to a swift first place in the first semester Honor Flight competition. Outside of JROTC, Corey has attended Army National Guard camp. He also played football for the school.
Squadron Commander (Blackhawk)
c/Maj. Evan Lewis
Evan Lewis is repsonsible for ensuring the successful administration of all four of the Blackhawk flights. He is directly above the Eagle, Falcon, Gunship, and Hercules Flight Commanders, and directly under the Vice Corps Commander. He has previously been a Flight Commander for Bomber flight. He has competed on the Rifle Team, Drill Team, Color Guard, and Cyber Team. He has competed in the LET I and II boards, and received a close second in both. He is currently the only junior in the Top 8. Outside of JROTC, Evan participates in Boy Scouts.
Operations Commander
c/Maj. Nicholas Luttrell
Nicholas Luttrell is repsonsible for ensuring the success of all the Team Commanders. He manages all practice logs, practice schedules, and team competitions, to mitigate overlap and conflictions. He has previously been a two time Raider Team assistant, helping lead his team to success at the district competition. In addition to Raider Team, Nick has competed in the LET III board and received first place.
Mission Support Commander
c/Maj. Jason Cost
Jason Cost is repsonsible for ensuring the success of all the Support Staff. The Support Staff are often overlooked, yet crucial in the maintenance of a viable Corps. He directly supervises the proper filing of all events, recording of inventory, setting up of community service events, and presenting a Corps that is technologically savvy and up to date. Jason has previously served as Logistics Officer. Throughout high school, he has been on the Raider Team.
