Assignment Reflection
The Linux assignment was a very eye-opening and exciting experience. In the past, I've attempted to use the Linux program and found myself drowning in questions. With the correct training and an updated laptop, this time I was able to explore the Linux program and better understand what to use another operating system for(practice). I also understand the importance of using a safe "playground" area to practice new codes. For both technological protection against viruses and legal protection against breaking the law.
I enjoyed the progress I made with using Linux. I found this to be less "alien" the more I used it. In the past, I thought I had made a mistake when I saw the black back screen. I enjoyed how far I've come with understanding and not becoming intimidated so easily.
The only thing I'd suggest for adding to this lesson would be more practice, more and then more. I feel this platform has almost endless lessons and I look forward to exploring them in future computer classes. To be honest I enjoyed the pace of each lesson and feel they were packed with information and useful lessons, without being overwhelming.
In the future, I plan on using this program a lot. I have now the knowledge of how to use it properly and the correct versions and technology to use it. The Linux practice platform has the potential to practice, create, and destroy without affecting your main operating system. I view the Linux program platform as a workshop for inventors to create digital masterpieces. The takeaway from this lesson is to make sure to practice within a safe area.
