Assignment Reflection
The Arcade game project showed me how much work goes into the development of a game. All aspects of the video require coding from the background to the main character. When I was younger, I had no respect for the older game due to the graphics, however after creating a game I've found a deeper appreciation for the classics.
I enjoyed the ability to create not just a video game but a story. I found this very interesting in creating Multiple levels and setting up traps and rewards. The only limitation to this project is the creator's imagination.
The only thing about this project I'd add is to dive deeper into the graphics of the game. After the competition of this project, I found myself curious about how much more content/ villains/stages I could add to the story/game.
In the future, I plan on using this program to create video games for "older" family members. In addition to a gift, I take away the lesson that the actions of what you see on a video game take hundreds if not thousands of pieces of coding to create, appreciation. This lesson has shown again how important the smallest details are.
