Dear Whoever,
I will be hoping that this letter finds you,
and finds you well.
Your friend,

The Solution
I used the board of the old game Tic Tac Toe to establish the letters then plugged them in from left to right, line after line times three levels to solve the mysterious message. Deciphering the first cycle using only the basic board (A - I), then using the same board shape adding a dot I was able to solve the next set (J - R). Then combining the V’s to create the shape of an X to solve the next cycle (S - V). which left the final letters of the 26 which were ( W, X, Y, and Z) also using the X shape but with dots also.
Assignment Reflection
The Jeff Kline code taught me how to persevere and not to give up when facing seemingly impossible challenges. This assignment was especially challenging to me and required me to seek a tutor to help me figure it out. I refused to give up and, in the end, I'm glad I didn't. I learned a secret coding technique (super cool). This assignment helped strengthen problem-solving and the ability to recognize patterns.
I most enjoyed the mental bending this assignment required to solve. I had a headache after solving this problem however I felt amazing to have solved it. The struggle was only outdone by the feeling an accomplishment when completed.
The only thing I'd change is the classification of this problem, this problem was deemed one of the easy problems. Either I am an overthinker or this problem was misclassified.
In the future, I enjoyed this secret code so much that I will use it in the future to tell my kids special messages. I feel this code would be safe against Predators and very hard for a non-computer-trained person to crack. This assignment has taught me how good it feels to figure out a problem that stumps you. Overall, I feel this lesson will be repeated in the world of Networking and Cybersecurity, cracking codes, and feeling good about it.
