February 14-18, 2022
This week, we had two meetings. The first day was an orientation that happened on Monday, February 14, 2022, that was led by the Student Teacher Organization Adviser’s Ma’am Eleonor C. Jarapa. She’s also our subject teacher in the Teaching Internship course where she discussed what the student interns must do during their assistantship, the bases of their grades and the requirements and tasks to be submitted at the end of the semester. I am grateful for this week because I am here in the first step of being an intern that makes me feel happy, excited, and nervous at the same time because the awaited moment has come. I am nervous because I don't know what will happen next and the expectations of us are becoming higher. The second day was a meeting with our assigned Cooperating Teacher, Dr. Rosalie S. Magistrado that happened on Tuesday, February 15, 2022. We had a little discussion on what are the things we must do as interns that will help us as future elementary educators.
As I learned today, it is always emphasized by Ma’am Eleonor C. Jarapa, that teachers must be always prepared and have in-depth knowledge in all areas because unexpected questions and things might happen that will challenge us as an intern. I do agree with her statement because without readiness will prove that we are not ready and deserve to have this journey.
