Raul Caruso, born (1972) and raised in Avellino, educated in Naples, Leuven and Milano, is full professor of Economic Policy at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore where he teaches Peace Economics and also  International Economics, Economics of Crime and Economics of the EU. He is also serving as director of CESPIC (Center for the Peace Science, Integration and cooperation) at the Catholic University ‘Our lady of Good counsel’ in Tirana (https://unizkm.al/categories/cespic/posts/en?lang=en). Between 2009 and 2019, he has served as executive director of Network of European Peace Scientists and he is currently the head of the Italian Chapter of Economists for Peace and Security. At theUniversità Cattolica del Sacro Cuore he is also member of the management board of Research Center for Applied Economics (CSEA) and of the scientific committee of Center for Higher Education Internationalization (CHEI). He is editor in chief of Peace Economics, Peace Science and Public Policy (www.degruyter.com/peps) and he is also in the editorial board of Defence and Peace Economics, the Economics of Peace and security Journal and the Rivista Internazionale di Scienze Sociali.
