What will my job responsibilities be?
Daily responsibilities may include taking calls, responding to emails or answering chats from Consumers within the United States and Canada. These interactions assist Consumers in resolving issues, providing basic troubleshooting information, and scheduling service while ensuring consumers are fully satisfied when the call is completed.
What is the length of the assignment?
All positions are Long Term opportunities up to 2 years as a contract employee. Opportunities are available to be converted to Whirlpool based on business needs.
What are the Hours of Operation at Whirlpool?
Monday - Friday 8AM-6PM EST.
From time-to-time, we are able to offer part-time schedules based on Whirlpool's call volume.
Multiple shifts available but you must be able to work during hours listed above. Shifts change once per quarter or as business needs. Your initial shift will be assigned during training. Shifts change once per quarter or as the business needs.
Typically new hires work later shift depending on business needs.
40 hour work week
What is the Pay Rate?
$14.50 per hour for all care experts
Monthly commission for selling extended warranties. (Opportunity to make anywhere between $5 and $500 per month. We even have had people make $1500 in a month)
Education: HS Diploma/GED Minimum
How will I be Trained?
Training is virtual and is 4 weeks (paid) Monday - Friday, 8AM-5PM EST (7AM-4PM CST).
Week 1 - Classroom training
Week 2 - Classroom training
Week 3 - ALZ (applied learning zone) - taking calls with a mentor
Week 4 - Transition out of training to Care Advisor
Training is mandatory. Due to the amount of information that will be provided you will be required to attend every day of training. This is the best time for you to be fully engaged in the great information that will be provided to you. All training received during this time will prepare you for a successful assignment at Whirlpool.
What are the skills necessary?
Great computer skills necessary. Must be able to navigate between screens, as well as, be able to multi-task on the computer while talking with the customer and troubleshooting.
Experience with G-Suite and Zoom are a plus
Do I have to sell anything?
You are required, as part of your job, to sell extended warranties as applicable.
Do I have to provide my own computer equipment?
No! Whirlpool provides all computer equipment necessary to do your job. All Calls are voice over internet, no additional phone or phone line is necessary. All equipment is to be used for Whirlpool use only and must be returned should the assignment end at any time.
What am I responsible to provide?
You must provide a quiet room free of distractions or background noise to maintain a professional work environment. You are also responsible for your own desk, chair, light, etc.
Must have high speed internet connection, NO WIRELESS OR SATELLITE ALLOWED. Must also be connected with an Ethernet cable. We will ask for proof of internet speeds.
You will be asked to provide photos of the work space at your residence as well as sign a work place agreement stating that you will maintain your work space with the appropriate desk, chair, light, etc.
