set either the texture Scale H OR V to something absurdly high.
simple, noiseless gradient textures are ideal, otherwise a Moiré effect is likely to occur.
Lossy Texture Compression can also cause the Moiré effect, so I prefer using 32x32 textures that seemingly do not get compressed.
Anisotropic Filtering will weaken this effect.set to alpha mask
scale a duplicate outwards & increase the Alpha Mask Cutoff.
