Teaching

  • Lecturer at the Cargese Summer School on Exotic Superconductivity (13 - 25/Jun/2022)

Introductory lecture on "Symmetry aspects of unconventional superconductivity and the inscrutable case of Sr2RuO4." In preparation.

  • Lecturer for Topics in Unconventional Superconductivity (2–13/Aug/2021)

Ten-hour course delivered online for graduate students in Brazil through the CBPF Graduate School, Brazil. Topics included: introduction to group theory, symmetry classification of superconducting phases, and topological superconductivity. Course delivered online in collaboration with Mucio Continentino.

You can find the videos of the lectures here.

  • Lecturer for Aspects of Superconductivity (16 – 22/Jul/2018)

Introductory course delivered during the IFT-Perimeter-SAIFR Journeys into Theoretical Physics at ICTP-SAIFR, Brazil. Prepared and delivered introductory course on superconductivity covering London Equations and the Ginzburg Landau formalism. The content was delivered on the board. Prepared a list of exercises and an exam that was used in the selection of students for a selective Master’s fellowship.

  • Teaching assistant for Strongly Correlated Electrons (Feb – Jun/2018)

Course delivered at ETH Zürich, Switzerland, in collaboration with Chitra Ramasubramanian. Prepared lectures and exercise tutorials on selected topics which complemented the main lectures. The goal was to give the students hands-on problems which they could work out with the concepts introduced in the main lecture. The tutorials were delivered on the board and printed guided exercises were distributed to the students every class. I also delivered the closing lecture of this course (with slides).

  • Teaching assistant for Physics on the Smartphone (Feb – Jun/2017)

Proseminar at ETH Zürich, Switzerland, in collaboration with Manfred Sigrist and Bertram Batlogg. Tutored students from diverse backgrounds on the preparation of seminars for the course and complemented the discussion with more advanced Physics concepts.

  • Recitation instructor for General Physics 203 (May – Jul/2011, 2012, 2013, 2014)

Recitation lectures delivered at Rutgers University, USA. Prepared and delivered exercise classes. The content was delivered on the board. Prepared and graded quizzes for classes of 20-30 students. Prepared review lectures before exams. Held office hours for further discussion with students. For the 2014 session, implemented a
    flipped classroom approach.

  • Laboratory instructor∗ for Extended General Physics 201 (Jan – May/2011)

  • Laboratory instructor∗ for Analytical Physics 229 (Sept – Dec/2012 and 2010).

    * Prepared and delivered a short introduction on the topic and on how to perform the experiment. The content was delivered on the board. Tutored the students while performing the experiments themselves. Prepared and graded quizzes and graded reports for classes of 20-30 students. For the Fall 2012 sessions, organized weekly meetings with other instructors in order to test the experiments and discuss possible issues and discrepancies that can emerge during the laboratory sessions.
