Master's and PhD Students

I am open for co-supervision of students from ETH Zürich, University of Zürich and University of Basel.

For PhD students, I am happy to support applications of bright students for fellowship programs. Many countries offer full or partial support for students to study abroad.

The Swiss government has a program called Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships for Foreign Scholars and Artists. The next deadline is in September 2022, for a start in September 2023.

Postdoctoral Position

We are looking for a researcher at the postdoctoral level with experience in at least one of the following topics: unconventional superconductivity, strongly correlated systems, topological phases of matter, quantum phase transitions, and non-equilibrium phenomena. The position is associated with the SNSF Ambizione project entitled “New theoretical tools for the design and optimization of emergent phases of matter in complex materials.”

The starting date is flexible, but must be no later than April 2023.

Funding for this position is secure for one year. An extension of the contract is subject to funding availability and positive performance in the group. One possible extension of this position is through a PSI Fellowship. The next call is open September-November 2022.
