November 4th, 2025: We hosted our 3rd Thrift Exchange at Roseville Area High School! A Thrift Exchange is an exchange of gently used goods (mainly clothing) no longer needed between people. Learn more about it at the link below!

August 22nd/28th, 2025: We went to the 2025 MN State Fair with GreenStep Schools! We were at the Eco Experience Building with MN GreenStep on August 22nd and 28th, from 9 - 12:30! It was our 3rd year at the Fair! Thank you to all that came visit!

April 18th, 2025: We were able to go on this 'field trip' thanks to Todd Lieser and Republic's Minneapolis MRF Staff. Todd was working on waste reduction in the district and we were able to see what happens to the things we recycle. Thank you again to Todd and Republic making this trip for us!

April 26th, 2025:  We went out to Roseville's First Sustainability Sale to fundraise and share the news about our Pollinator Garden Project. Thanks to everyone who came a supported us!

October 8th, 2024: Roseville Area School District and Roseville Area High School became the first MN GreenStep School District and School! RAHS Students for Climate Action (led by Chiara Carignan) pushed for the school district to join, on June 13th, 2023 the school board signed a resolution. This resolution began the creation of a GreenTeam and the beginning of Roseville's GreenStep process. On October 8th, 2024 we became the first MN GreenStep School District and School after submitting Step 1 and getting presented the award! Also RAHS Students for Climate Action is a GreenStep Club! March, 2024: Creating the Project Story (which can be seen here on GreenStep Schools Website) of sustainable actions and projects that the district has done and also writing about how students got involved in climate action and their encouragement of the district to join GreenStep. They also created a GreenStep Committee and GreenTeam, both made up of students, staff, and community members to advise the district.

February 21st, 2024: RAHS Progressives and RAHS S4CA spoke to MN Education and Finance Committee about GreenStep Schools and the need for more clean energy programs for schools.

August, 2023: Students for Climate Action at the MN State Fair supporting MN GreenStep Schools and spreading the word about the club! The 2nd year at the Fair for S4CA.

June, 2023: Student Leader (Chiara) spoke to Roseville Area School District School Board about MN GreenStep Schools to convince them to join. They later sign a resolution, the first step in joining GreenStep Schools. A large step to beginning to make our district a healthy and sustainable community for all.

February, 2023: Students for Climate Action attended the Youth Climate Justice Summit and multiple workshops there. S4CA holds their own workshop on sustainability in schools.

August, 2022: Students for Climate Action had the opportunity to have a booth about our climate walkout at the Eco Experience Building at the MN State Fair. Another day we were on stage to do a presentation on our walkout and the youth climate movement, and one more day at the MN GreenStep Booth.

Fall, 2022: Student for Climate Action stemmed off of RAHS Progressive Club after seeing the interest in a independent club after the climate walkout. It was created by Holly and Ivy, as a gathering space for interested students and a way to take action in their community. 

March, 2022: Students organized a Climate Walkout at Roseville Area High School. More than 500 students joined along with board members, city council members, and RAHS staff. This protest was done as a part of the National Fridays for Future movement. Student leaders gave speeches to motivate and spark interest.
