August 19th, 2025: The first plants go in! This wave of plants were mainly donated by members and their family. (See timelapse)

August 23rd, 2025: This was the biggest day, we ran around all day picking up plant donations and then planting them. Unfortunately due to the constant come and go, there is now time-lapses from this. We continued to add more plants every now and then in the coming two weeks. And reinstalled the fencing.

August 15th, 2025: After removing the tarps and fencing the day before we were ready to begin the pre-planting stages! In the morning we had a donation of compost from the City of Roseville (see image below). Later that day we began to spread out the compost (as seen in the time-lapse). 

August 17th, 2025: We came back to finish the job! Once fully spread out the area was rota-tilled the next day. Little PSA, there was a lot of trash in the compost! Make sure what you are dropping off at yard waste site has no trash in it!

May 31st, 2025: On our first day we started by tarping the area. Tarping is staking down tarps over an area of grass to kill the grass by starving it of water and sunlight  till fall. This will allow us to plant more easily in the fall, kill off weeds and the grass, and naturally fertilize the ground. After tarping, we placed the fencing in. 

June 1st, 2025: On the second day we finished it up by staking down the tarps more after seeing what areas were affected overnight. We also finished the fencing by threading the rope through.
