Roseville Area School District and Roseville Area High School became the first MN GreenStep School District and School! RAHS Students for Climate Action (led by Chiara Carignan) pushed for the school district to join, on June 13th, 2023 the school board signed a resolution. This resolution began the creation of a GreenTeam and the beginning of Roseville's GreenStep process. On October 8th, 2024 we became the first MN GreenStep School District and School after submitting Step 1 and was presented the award! Also RAHS Students for Climate Action is a GreenStep Club! The School District is currently working on our first MN GreenStep Schools Project! At the moment we are working on the creation and implementation of a Solid Waste Reduction Plan. This plan includes the use of standardized labels and bins for trash and recycling, lessons on how to recycle properly for our education system, and the implementation of the Food for Hogs Program at the Roseville Area Middle School and High School.
The public is able to join Roseville Area School District's GreenStep School GreenTeam! The GreenTeam meets around every 3 months (except the summer). We meet and share what the school is doing, talk about ideas of what we should do, and discuss. We would love to have the public join us and here your thoughts! Check out the calendar to the left to see when our next meeting is scheduled for and where the meeting will be taking place, hope to see you there!
