Parev,

I'm Vika!

I am a second-generation college graduate from a family of Armenian immigrants, and I have been a "right-brain thinker" from day one!

My passion for film/video games arose from a journey of creative endeavors; from writing a book, to directing short films, to creating comics. At the end of the day, I've found that nothing beats the thrill of being in the entertainment industry!

What's so special about me?

My most important attribute is my ability to quickly and easily learn new things, as well as exercise my newfound knowledge in a multitude of ways. I am so excited about learning new programs and relearning software that I already know to accelerate my accuracy and speed in a fast-paced scrum environment because it's rewarding, and inspiring for me! I am determined to work well with my teams and learn the ins and outs of their methodologies to be able to contribute as much as I can.

I am always willing to learn how to be a better teammate and will facilitate a productive and inspired environment among my peers. My teams are my families, and I am looking forward to giving my heart and soul to my projects, both ambitious and small!

Why video games?

Well, of course, I've got a story. The story about why video games are the subject of my blood, sweat, and tears.

It all begins on a foggy morning in the year 2009. Toothless, and giddy with excitement, I reach under my pillow to feel for what I pray the Tooth Fairy might have brought, and behold: my fingers grace what feels like a video game case! Now, I've played video games already at the age of 8, and they've been fairly exciting. Your standard Super Mario 64, and Kirby Super Star Ultra, but the game I pulled out from under that pillow had something that just couldn't compare to the others. I had spent all of my extra time watching space documentaries and learning every possible thing I could about the stars, and so, Super Mario Galaxy nearly twinkled in my grasp! I all but tripped over myself rushing to play it for the first time.

Nothing really compares to the feeling of playing that game or even replaying it now. When I think of childhood, and more importantly my childhood dreams, it's the first thing that comes to mind. To breathe so much life and inspiration into me, to make me so excited about life... it was something to be grateful for. Ever since, I've been pushing myself to make something just as inspiring, and eye-opening for someone, somewhere. More than a decade later, it's pushing me to get into the industry of my dreams and to be that inspiration.

It just happened to start with a tooth, a Wii, and a mysteriously placed Nintendo game under my pillow.
