Oceanic Aeroecosystem

The Oceanic Aeroecosystem, or OAE for short, is a realm which takes place in the troposphere above the ocean. The food webs which make up this realm are mostly formed from previously marine groups such as fish and mollusks, but over time they naturally invited birds, insects, and even amphibians. 

The OAE was formed in the middle Paleogene, during a massive biodiversification event in which several marine groups evolved mechanisms like gliding, flight, and even levitation to exploit a boom in aerial flora, which would later become the base of all the foodwebs in the realm. Today, the OAE is made of aerophytolankton (algae), aerozooplankton (crustaceans, mollusks, fish), and aeronekton (birds, crustaceans, mollusks, fish, cnidarians, amphibians).
