Self-care is the vehicle to balance among our dimensions of wellness and overall health. It encompasses any activity that we do purposely to take care of our mental, emotional, and/or physical health. However, when we talk about self-care, we do not refer to the candles or the essential oils, or the food that we eat. While these things will make you feel better, what we refer to as self-care is the time you take for yourself to think and reflect about yourself - not about work or other responsibilities.
When we do not practice self-care strategies, our wellness, health, and everything around us will be jeopardized.
