Supported research, monitoring, and evaluation efforts on USAID projects. Conducted validation study in Ethiopia of a disability screening toolkit. Led cross-organizational working groups for the Education Equity Research Initiative Disability Task Team that produced reviews related to inclusive education policy and approaches to disability screenings. Managed EPDC’s public access database.

Applied strong analytical skills in developing research publications, policy briefs, profile series, and literature and landscape reviews, including work for UNICEF on the relationship of inequality to violent conflict, for UNGEI on the global availability of gender-disaggregated data, and for the Education Equity Research Initiative on the measurement of equity and the comparability of equity data. Used quantitative methods in producing data visualizations; education projections; and reliable, comparable education indicators from a range of data sources for EPDC’s public access database. Developed measurement frameworks and tools, including work for the Brookings Institution on the breadth of learning opportunities available in schools and for Educate A Child on identifying children most at risk of dropout. Provided training on data analysis and data utilization, including developing and leading workshops on the sue of school census data for Liberian county and district education officials. Offered analytical support on research, monitoring, and evaluation. Conducted qualitative and quantitative fieldwork at schools in developing contexts.
