Vanity explores the daily process of getting dressed and ready for the day every morning. The repetition of actions draws attention to little things we do every day. Whether it's putting on glasses or playing with earrings, these daily actions get tedious. The act of looking in the mirror itself is mirrored on each side of the screen. At times both sides of the mirror are the same, at other times they are very different. The video is silent except for the rhythm of doors closing and water splashing. Looking at the mirror is not meant to be narcissistic, but an occasionally fun activity.
