Hello and welcome to my Portfolio of Learning! My name is Rabia Osman, and I am a first-year medical student at the University of the Witwatersrand.
The purpose of this portfolio is to document my academic experiences, showcase my understanding of medical concepts, and highlight my personal and professional growth. It serves as a space where I can reflect on my learning, engage with key topics, and demonstrate my development as a future healthcare professional.
My portfolio consists of 3 main courses:
1. The Foundations of Public Health and Health System Science: This course explores the structure and function of healthcare systems, the role of public health, and strategies for improving healthcare services.
2. Person, Family, and Community: This course emphasizes the importance of understanding individuals within their social and family contexts, as well as the impact of community and social determinants on health.
3. The Science and Art of Health and Learning: This course integrates medical science with the art of learning, communication, and professional development in the healthcare field.
