Hello there! This page is a little window into who I am beyond the textbooks and lectures.
Jumping into medicine has been quite the whirlwind! It's a mix of tackling tough concepts and those moments when it all starts to click. What really gets me going is knowing that someday, I'll be able to make a real difference in people's lives. That's the kind of impact I'm aiming for.
When I'm not studying, you'll probably find me with a crochet hook in my hand, working on some new project. Or I might be curled up with a good book, getting lost in another world!
I've always been that person who wants to know how things work – especially the human body. But more than that, I'm driven by a desire to connect with people, to understand their stories, and to help them through their health challenges. For me, medicine is as much about people as it is about science. Looking ahead, I'm keen to learn as much as I can from this program. I'm not just aiming to pass exams; I want to truly understand what it means to provide compassionate care. I'm also thinking about specializing down the line, maybe in the field of orthopaedic surgery.
My SWOT Analysis:
I'd say I'm pretty good at buckling down and getting the work done. I'm genuinely curious, too, which I think is super important in medicine. And I try to put myself in other people's shoes, which I hope will make me a better doctor.
However, like everyone, I've got things to work on. Sometimes, I spread myself a bit too thin, so I'm learning to balance my studies and personal life. And there's always room to grow when it comes to putting my thoughts into words, especially in a professional setting.
Strengths: Strong work ethic, genuine curiosity, empathetic nature
Weaknesses: Time management, balancing commitments, professional writing
Opportunities: Networking, skill-building workshops, diverse patient interactions
Threats: Academic stress, information overload, maintaining work-life balance
I hope this gives you a snapshot of who I am and what I'm about. This portfolio is a reflection of my journey, and I'm excited to see where it takes me! 🫶
