Route Updates
There are two kinds of updates: Route Cautions and Route Changes
Route cautions represent issues on the route that we want to bring to your attention. For example, if there is a large construction area, rough road, or perhaps a small detour.
Route changes mean that the route has changed, requiring you to replace parts of the course in your route book with the route change. Once a change is in place, it usually stays in place and becomes the new official route but not always. A text message will be sent to notify you of any changes to the route or adjustments to issued route changes.
In all cases, it is your responsibility to check for changes and to stay on the official route. You should check this page often, and at every time station, Changes will be posted below.
Please note: RAAM and RAW take place on public roads. Things happen. Construction and trains will slow you down. The weather may hold you up. We do not give time credits for these things. They are a part of the race, and anyone can run into them at any moment.
