Teapots are honestly one of the most fun things to craft. All the parts are thrown separately and assembled when the clay is leather-hard. Timing is always important in ceramics, but with teapots, especially so. If the clay is too wet, it will not hold it's shape when I attach the spout and handle. If it is too hard, the spout and handle won't attach. I take special care in choosing glazes for my teapots to ensure that they are safe to use!
