If you're anything like me, you may have a favorite plate that just feels so satisfying to eat out of. I attribute this feeling to three things:

1. The size of the plate.

2. The weight of the plate.

3. The "feel" of the plate.

I think it's important for dinnerware to have this satisfying. To achieve this feeling I make sure to shape the plate in a way that makes sense to eat out of, and by removing as much excess clay as possible, I can bring the weight down.

I take special care to ensure that these items are safe to use for consumption as well as to put in the dishwasher.
