Events at Queer Active

Since launching, Queer Active has organised a growing range of activities across Yorkshire, bringing people together through adventure, wellbeing, and community. From countryside hikes and coastal walks to wildlife spotting, beach days, sports sessions, and social meet-ups, our events are designed to be welcoming, inclusive, and accessible to all.

Whether you're looking to challenge yourself on a longer hike, try a new activity such as pickleball, explore local history, or simply enjoy a relaxed walk and good conversation, there's something for everyone. No previous experience is needed, just a willingness to get involved and have fun.

We're always developing new events and experiences, so the best way to stay up to date is by following us on Instagram, where we regularly share event announcements, updates, photos, and community news.

You can also find our full programme of upcoming events and register your place through Zeffy, our event booking and membership platform. Zeffy is the easiest way to browse upcoming activities, manage your bookings, and stay connected with the Queer Active community.

We can't wait to welcome you to an event soon!

NEW: Queer Active Car Share

Getting to a Queer Active event shouldn’t be a barrier to joining in. Queer Active Car Share is a simple way for our community to connect, share journeys and make travelling to our events easier, more affordable and a little more social too!

If you’re driving to an event and have a spare seat, you can offer a lift to another attendee. If you need help getting there, you can find and reserve an available space.

There’s no need to create an account. Each participating Queer Active event has its own Car Share access code, allowing you to securely view the journeys available for that event.

Queer Active simply provides the platform to help people connect — journeys are offered voluntarily by members of our community using their own vehicles.

By offering or accepting a lift, contact details will be shared between the driver and passenger so you can contact each other and arrange the journey details directly.
