Online self-study courses at a cost.
“Understanding vision impairment in children and young people” is designed to support the training needs of professionals and parents in order to improve the quality of learning opportunities available to children and young people with visual impairment. The course fee is £165 for VIEW members (£225 for non-members). Further details and how to register can be foundhere.
“Vision impairment and complex needs in children and young people” is a a short online course which focuses specifically on children and young people who, as well as vision impairment, also have learning difficulties and other special needs or disabilities. Cost of the course is £255 non-members (£195 members). Further details can be foundhere.
RNIB and RNIB Insight Online

Perkins e-Learning
A vast collection of recorded webinars on a range of topics for learners with VI and MSI of all ages and abilities. These webinars last between 30-60 minutes each. Please follow thislink to find out more.
Call Scotland
A range of webinars that last around 20 minutes each. These are based upon how assistive technology can support learners with VI, MSI and ALN in the classroom. They also offer certified courses on Adaptations for the Teaching and Examination of Mathematics and Science for Blind and Partially Sighted Pupils. These are also very useful courses for Teaching Assistants to understand how best to support learners with VI. Clickhere to find out more.

Dolphin offer two online certified courses which are free of charge, accessed by following thislink. These courses are divided into Essentials (should take around 5 hours to complete) and Specialist (should take around 15 hours to complete).
