QPaP developed out of a conference in 2021 which brought together a range of academics and researchers across the globe in a hybrid in-person and virtual event based at the University of Birmingham (UK) and Vanderbilt University LGBT Policy Lab (US).
With over 100 registered delegates it offered a space for researchers in economics and social sciences to present research, discuss the implications and start conversations about future research ambitions.
QPaP seeks to build on the success of this event, offering a regular series of seminars, inviting speakers from across the globe to continue to share research and foster collaborative working.
QPaP formally launched in March 2022 with an open call for contributors to its seminar series. It is currently managed by Dr Samuel Mann (Vanderbilt University) and Dr Lee Gregory (Nottingham University) and will be looking to develop a management committee over the coming months. Mia Aarons joined as part of a placement in July 2022 to work with Sam and Lee in setting up the web presence and prepare the seminar series.
More details to follow in due course.
