Registration Options
Registration in mySeminary is required yearly. For every year that a student is planning to attend seminary, they must be re-registered.
To register your student in seminary, please follow these steps:
Go to mySeminary.churchofjesuschrist.org and sign in with your church account. Upon logging in, you will be presented with a menu with the names of all your children eligible for seminary enrollment.
Note: Because student registration is required yearly, a student's registration status is reset January 1 of each year. The Not Registered status is indicative of the upcoming year.
The Seminary Registration Agreement is a legal requirement. Parents are required to consent to it only once during the time their child or children are in seminary. However registration needs to occur again for every year.
When parents or guardians sign or agree to the consent, they legally agree to allow Seminaries and Institutes of Religion (S&I) to track their child’s or children’s seminary progress using WISE.
Parents who are not members of the Church will complete registration with the local seminary program after they have secured a Church Account at account.ChurchofJesusChrist.org.
Potential seminary students are youth ages 14–18 who will be in the 9th–12th grade (or equivalent). Exceptions are made for students with disabilities.
Seminary registration invites parents to select or update the following:
Graduation year(s) for the child or children participating in seminary
Building location or online program where the child or children will be participating in seminary
Contact information for the parents
Seminary students can update their personal contact information online at mySeminary.ChurchofJesusChrist.org.
When and where possible, we invite all parents and guardians to use mySeminary.ChurchofJesusChrist.org to register their child or children for seminary and to monitor student progress through the program.
Raise awareness of the mySeminary site so parents can register their child or children and monitor student progress through seminary.
Parents who are not members of the Church cannot use mySeminary to complete registration for their child or children. They will be asked to contact the local seminary program, where seminary personnel will use WISE to complete registration for these students.
Add records access for nonmember parents in the “Guardian” tab in WISE.
Be sure to mark the basic agreement under the “Parent Agreement” bar in each student’s ID page in WISE.
Update parent or guardian contact information.
Raise awareness of the mySeminary site so parents can register their child or children and monitor student progress through seminary.
Leaders should use mySeminary.ChurchofJesusChrist.org to monitor their youth’s progress in seminary.
In Southern Hemisphere programs, mySeminary becomes a registration tool on July 1 for the following calendar or school year.
Leaders cannot consent to the Seminary Registration Agreement. This is reserved only for parents or guardians.
Leaders are encouraged to mark the graduation year and building location or online program for each student. Leaders can also mark students who are too young, who are too old, or who will not be participating in seminary for whatever reason the following year.
Be sure that you have a Church Account. To create one, go to account.ChurchofJesusChrist.org.
Using that Church Account username and password, log in to mySeminary.ChurchofJesusChrist.org.
Once logged in to the site, you will see youth who are 13–18 years old listed on the left-hand side of the page under “My Family.” If you are also a stake or ward priesthood leader (including stake seminary supervisors in some areas), the stake or ward you currently serve in your calling will be listed under “My Stake” or “My Ward,” directly beneath “My Family.”
Obtain a Church Account at account.ChurchofJesusChrist.org.
Contact your local seminary program to complete seminary registration. Be prepared to provide your Church Account username. They will not need your password.
As part of the registration process, you will need to consent to the terms of the Seminary Registration Agreement. A copy of the Seminary Registration Agreement can be found here: [Registration Form]
After your child has been registered, you will be able to monitor his or her progress at mySeminary.ChurchofJesusChrist.org.
If your child will be 14 years old and in the ninth grade (or equivalent) during the next school year, please log in to mySeminary.ChurchofJesusChrist.org to:
