Simple Steps for QuickBooks Enterprise Migration

  • First and foremost is subscribing to QBO.
  • Create a backup of all the QuickBooks enterprise files. You can restore the backup to make another copy and start working in the second copy only. In this way, in case something goes wrong you original copy won’t be affected.
  • Open QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions in the Home Screen
  • You will be able to open the Product Information window once you press numeric 1 and CTRL key simultaneously
  • You now need to press CTRL and B followed by pressing CTRL and Q.
  • You now require closing the Product information window
  • A screen will automatically display. In case you aren’t able to view it, refer to point number 2 again.
  • Now, type in all the QB Online log in credentials and agree to the Terms and Conditions and then click on the Submit option.
  • Now, choose the company that you wish to import your data into

NOTE: - You will come across the import list option, you need to click on it so that the company file is balanced and is successfully imported. There is a chance that you may not be able to view the screen, so in order to continue, you must follow the steps mentioned below: -

If QuickBooks is Unresponsive or Incommunicative during the import

  • Visit the settings of your internet explorer then make use of the guide that is provided below to enable or disable the right settings.
  • Press and hold the T + ALT keys on your keyboard to open the Tools Menu. Now, move to the Internet Options that are given the system’s extreme bottom and click on the Security tab at the top and then uncheck the box which says - Enable Protected Mode.
  • Stay on the same page and click on the Sites option and add one by one to the trusted sites. Once done, hit Close.
  • Click on the Zone option available in the Security tab. You can choose one option by dragging the slider, either Low Level or Medium level. After that, uncheck the Enable the Protected Mode option.
  • From the options available, click on Apply and then press the OK button. You now need to close and reopen the Internet Explorer browser in order to reperform the import.
  • After you’re done following all the steps, try the import again. During the import process, you will receive a pop-up that will ask you to be redirected to the official QB site. Just click on YES and Continue
  • Click on OK and look for an email from Intuit when your QuickBooks Enterprise Migration completes and you can log back into QB Online.
  • Compare the Balance Sheet and P&L standard reports for All Dates in QB Enterprise and QBO to make sure that your data transferred appropriately.
