When does registration begin?
Registration opens on October 1st. Registration ends on October 31st for the lower divisions and November 15th for the upper divisions. There is a $20 late fee.

Pflugerville Youth Basketball Association was first organized in 1990 in Pflugerville, Texas. We are a 501 C3 Corporation. We are a non-profit organization.

Q: Where do you play games?
We proudly play games in the gyms in Pflugerville, Texas with the PISD School System. We mainly utilize 2 Middle Schools and 4 Elementary Schools.
Q: What is your FEE structure.
Currently we charge $130 per child.
Q: What does the FEE include?
The fee includes gym practices and games in PISD schools, a game jersey, a $15
professional picture packet for all age groups and a participation award for every player only in the non-competitive age divisions, 7-8 and younger.
Q: Who do you use for referees?
We source referees from the Austin Chapter as well as supplying opportunities for
some of the youth of Pflugerville (age 16 +) to earn an income. We have a referee
coordinator and training sessions.

Q: Are your coaches trained?
We are a 501-C3 non-profit organization and do not have enough revenue to fund training for the volunteer coaches . We do perform a background check.
Q: What age groups do you have?
We have a co-rec 6 year old league we call Peewee. They play at Spring Hill or Timmerman Elem.
We have a 7-8 girls (Springhill Elem.) and 7-8 boys division (Brookhollow )
We have a 9-10 girls (Parkcrest MS/ ) and 9-10 boysdivision (Parkcrest MS)
We have a 11-12 girls (Various MS/Immanuel Lutheran Church) and 11-12 boys division (Kelly Lane MS)
We have a 13-14 boys division (Kelly Lane MS)
Q: When do you have practices/games?
Practices usually begin 1-2 weeks after registration deadline and continue through
December until school breaks for the holidays. We play games starting the first
week in January and end in mid-late February. Generally there are two games a week - a
game on a weekday and a game on Saturday.
Practices/games in elementary gyms can be any weeknight Monday-Friday.
Games in middle school gyms are limited by the PISD Middle school game schedule.
Game nights are determined by availability of the PFISD resources.
Q. What time are the practices/games?
We cannot get into any PISD gym on a weeknight prior to 6:30 so weeknight
practices/games are either 6:40pm or 7:40pm. Saturday games could be as early as
9am or as late as 2pm.
Q: How many games do you play?
Our goal is to have 8 games for the younger divisions.
7+ games plus and an end of the season tournament for the competitive divisions.
Q: How many kids are on a team?
Generally, 10 in the lower divisions and 8-9 in the upper divisions.
Q. How are players placed on teams?
Lower division players (ages 8 and under) are placed randomly on teams. We
attempt to honor requests to play with friends per request submitted at time of
registration.
Upper division players are placed through a draft. All 9 year old players except for
the coach/asst coach's players go through the draft. Requests to be placed with
friends, with a particular coach, or other player for carpooling are *NOT* honored.
Any new player age 10 or older or a player who is not continuing with the previous
year's team also go through the draft. The only players who don't go through the
draft are returning players whose coach is returning and who wish to play for the
same coach again.
Q: What is your age cut off?
We use September 1 as the age cutoff date.
Q: Are you insured?
We carry insurance for each player, coach and board member through “Monument
Sports Insurance”.
