Hockey Canada takes head contact, in every level of hockey, very seriously and has instituted a zero- tolerance policy on contact above the shoulders.
Any contact above the shoulders is considered Head Contact, and an intentional act of violence. Any Checking to the Head will automatically incur a penalty.
For detailed information on what constitutes head contact, how to assess a head contact penalty, and comprehensive information on head injuries and concussions, please go to the Hockey Canada website.
