Anchored in The Department of Humanities and Philosophy’s goals of fostering a teaching-learning environment beneficial to the growth and development of students and faculty; strengthening creativity and resourcefulness among the students through the utilization of available educational facilities and enhancing teacher competencies through training, seminars, and post-graduate studies; the department launch a training partnership with Canva to train the faculty members on how to use online platforms for classes and presentations. A Memorandum of Agreement between the University and Canva is likely to be forged once the training commences.
The said training was supposed to be held in March 2020 in the Canva Headquarter in Makati but due to health and safety protocols that needs to be followed and the community quarantine in Metro Manila, the training was moved to a later date November 12 and 27, 2020 thru online platforms- Zoom and Facebook Live. Unfortunately, due to Typhoon Ulysses that has devastated the country on November 12, the training was rescheduled.
