Welcome to Mammoth Science Resources
Enter Parent Genotypes:
Find the two boxes labeled "Parent 1 Genotype" and "Parent 2 Genotype."
Type the genotypes for each parent in these boxes. For example, you can enter AaBb for each parent.
Generate Gametes:
Click the button that says "Generate Gametes."
This will show you all possible gametes (sex cells) each parent can produce.
Fill in the Grid:
Look at the grid with 25 boxes.
Each box should be filled with a combination of the gametes from both parents. You can type the combinations in each box. For example, if a box is filled with AaBb, that means it's a combination of the gametes from Parent 1 and Parent 2.
Autocomplete the Grid (Optional):
If you want, you can click "Autocomplete Punnett Square." For the F1 generation.
This will automatically fill in the grid based on the gametes you generated.
Analyze the Punnett Square:
Click the button that says "Analyze Punnett Square."
This will show you the ratios of different types of offspring based on the grid. It will tell you how often you can expect different combinations to appear.
Check Results:
Look at the results displayed under "Phenotype Ratios."
It will show you the number of each type of offspring and what percentage they represent.
