I have heard that this type of parrots mates for life and can reproduce once a year, between January and July, and usually use tree cavities and use the tree year by year. The female three eggs and incubates them between 24 and 28 days. When the eggs hatch, it takes 60 – 65 days for the chick to fledge.
They feast with seeds, nuts, bark, flowers, and nectar found in the forest canopy and other 60 other varieties of food, they love to enjoy eating very often.
This is an example of how the bird looks in the very first weeks, because of the restoration of the Puerto Rican Amazon, professionals try to maintain the newly hatched chick until and make sure it does not fall from a higher place or get harmed.
