Yellowstone National Park (United States)
In 1827, Yellowstone became the US’s first national park. Found in north-west Wyoming, the area is over 3000 square miles in size, with 8 different zones – at least four days are necessary to see each of them properly. Over half of the park is covered with pines which vibrate to the area’s volatile seismic energy, fueled by the Steamboat Geyser, the tallest in the world. With multicolored craters, the ocher cliffs and the dizzying waterfalls, here it is the wolves, coyotes and grizzlies who write the law.
