About
2016 was the Centennial of the National Park Service. To mark that achievement, my photography work that year was mostly focused on shots taken in the parks, monuments, etc. over the last decade. I also included lands designated as national monuments, recreation areas, and historic sites even if they were not administered by the NPS. Places such as Mt. St. Helens National Volcanic Monument, Newberry National Volcanic Monument, and Hells Canyon National Recreation Area, just to name a few...
Of course, these non-NPS sites also include the national monuments now being reviewed by the Trump Administration for size reduction or elimination.
In 2017, I hoped to move on to other locations that I’ve been neglecting for too long, filling up the other galleries on my website. I’ve got thousands of photos from the last decade to sort, edit and share… I spend way too much time shooting and not enough time editing!
However, considering recent events, I’ve decided to focus, for now, on my shots from the national monuments currently under review.
