Conference Venue
The conference will be held at the Memorial Union (MU) on Iowa State University’s (ISU) campus. The MU is at the heart of ISU, at 2229 Lincoln Way, Ames, Iowa 50014. The MU is across from Campustown and within walking distance to numerous coffee shops and restaurants. The opposite side of the MU holds a patio and fountain that faces central campus with the campanile and open fields where students often lounge and relax. The MU houses a food court, a bookstore, and a convenience store. For detailed directions to the Memorial Union, see the Travel tab below.
Pay parking is available in the Memorial Union Parking Ramp, adjacent to the conference venue. For more information, visit https://www.mu.iastate.edu/parking
Other parking is available on campus by obtaining a Visitor Parking Permit, allowing you to park in a General Staff or Student parking lot and walk to the Memorial Union. Visitor Parking Permits are $5 a day and are required to park on campus during the week. More information can be found at http://www.parking.iastate.edu/visitor.
Parking on campus on the weekend does not require a permit, but please make sure to check the signage at the entrance of each lot to ensure it is open for non-permitted vehicles. Here is a map to locate parking during the weekend.
The Memorial Union is also accessible by bus. The 3-Blue and 1-Red are the most direct and frequently running routes.
Travel

The closest airport to Iowa State University is Des Moines International Airport. There is a shuttle service available between the airport and ISU (see below). Other major airports include Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport, Kansas City International Airport, and Omaha Airport. are within driving distance but require renting a car.
Shuttle Service to and from Des Moines International Airport
ISU Airport Shuttles (UTS) offers "individual airport" shuttles between DSM and ISU. Requests need to be made 1 week prior to your trip. The fee is $125 one way for a single traveler. A maximum of 3 travelers can book the same time slot, resulting in a discounted price for all. If this occurs, UTS will refund travelers, considering the actual number of travelers.

We will coordinate and share the best booking time with travelers according to their arrival and departure information from the airport. UTS deadline to reserve is 72 hrs.
Lyft & Uber
Both Lyft and Uber operate in Iowa and the Ames area. Note that rides may not be as abundant as they might be in a major city. Both services are available upon downloading the company's app on your mobile device.

Car rental agencies are located in the baggage claim area in Des Moines International Airport.

Ames’ Bus System
Ames CyRide bus system offers safe, reliable, and friendly service for navigating around Ames. Please find a nice CyRide and Ames map here. The Iowa State “MyState” app offers a nice CyRide GPS interface that shows in real time where buses are with respect to your current location.
Getting to the Conference Venue
Conference sessions will be held on campus in the Memorial Union, 2229 Lincoln Way, Ames Iowa 50014. Pay parking is available in the Memorial Union Parking Ramp, adjacent to the conference venue. Lodging
Ames has a lot of hotel and accommodation options for the nights of September 11th through the 15th. Conference attendees will need to contact hotels directly to book rooms. In addition to hotels, there are numerous economical options via Air BnB in the Ames’ area.
