The NYC Department of Education and The WNET Group have partnered on Let’s Learn NYC!, a new educational public television program featuring lessons for children in grades 3-K through second grade, which can supplement remote learning. Episodes will air on weekdays at 11:00AM EST on THIRTEEN. The episodes will also be available to livestream at thirteen.org/live.

Let’s Learn NYC! is hosted by DOE instructional leaders and coaches with expertise in teaching young learners. Programming offers age-appropriate curricular content that is aligned to standards and lessons for early childhood education and includes foundational reading skills, literacy, math, social studies, and science.

Please follow the directions supplied by your child's classroom teacher. Each child was provided with an account and a password to login to Google Classroom.

- Find a spot without distractions.
- General expectation: If it wouldn't be appropriate in the classroom, it isn't appropriate in the meeting.
- Be on time.

- When you participate in a video meeting, you are providing a "window" into your home.
- Please think about what is behind you and what may come into view during the meeting.
- Do not screenshot or record anything during the meeting.

- Click on the link or call phone number.
- Check in through the chat (top right) when you arrive. "Tom is here."
- Mute yourself by clicking on the bottom of the screen.
Using your mic:
Using your mic:
- Unmute yourself when you want to talk, then mute again.
- Select the mic button on the bottom of your screen.
- Pause for a moment to allow for the audio delay.
- Talk normally.
- Don't have side conversations. Make sure the TV and radio are off. The mic will pick up other noises in the room.
