Located in the beautiful Valley of Famatina, La Riojana is one of the largest wine cooperatives in Argentina and the world. Its history goes back to four generations of small and medium producers and begins in 1940. Currently made up of 500 producer families united by the principles of Cooperativism as well as on sustainable organic production and Fair Trade. La Riojana has a production capacity of more than 3 million boxes per year from just over 3,000 hectares, of which a third is destined for export to more than 20 countries, from Varietal Wines to Reserve wines, Premium and sparkling wines, highlighting that their red wines from the 2018 harvest are 100% suitable for vegans. In addition to wines, the Cooperative produces Extra Virgin Olive Oil, being one of the few companies in the world with Organic and FairTrade certification for Olive Oil. Since 2019 they added the Biodynamic certification for wines.
