To provide native English guidance for all ages of Chinese speakers who desire to learn English.
While helping Chinese learners, students create international friendships while also increasing personal cross-cultural competence and language skills. Through these interactions, we as students are taking our own steps to improve Chinese-US relations.
Project ZMBY is a program that connects American and Chinese students of all ages through the cross-cultural exchange of English language learning. American and Chinese students benefit through developing meaningful connections and cross-cultural understanding. English proficiency is becoming more crucial than ever in today's interconnected world. Volunteers often acquire new skills and experiences because of their work with Project ZMBY, which can be applied to personal and professional situations, such as leadership, adaptability, cross-cultural communication, and problem-solving. We invite American volunteers passionate about international relationships and language learning to apply today.
This eight-week program offers volunteers the opportunity to support university students in China who are studying English through weekly calls including English lessons and conversation practice!
Video chat with groups of Chinese students as either a co-teacher or teacher's assistant. Classes can range anywhere from five to fifty students.

Volunteers must be able to attend volunteer training including an initial meeting with a leadership member during the application phase. Don't worry, we are flexible and will work to find a time that is good for the volunteer and leadership member.
Must be able to gain access to Tencent meeting. Tencent is used for all classes. We can provide guidance on accessing the website/app.
