Project ZMBY exists to connect Chinese and English-speaking students in the US and China. We believe that as students, each of us can bring positive change to the world through our actions and understanding of cultures outside our own.
The best way to learn more about a culture is through meeting people of that culture. Project ZMBY fosters cultural exchange for Chinese and American students through online interaction and communication.
Project ZMBY has a heart for language learning, especially for Chinese students learning English. Project ZMBY enhances classroom language learning through increased interactions with native speakers. Through Project ZMBY, participants interact with native speakers and learn language for real-world situations.
Studying Chinese is not a requirement for American students to participate in Project ZMBY.
Founded in the spring of 2022 by 6 American high school students from across the United States, Project ZMBY was created to train future young adult leaders who share a passion for cultural exchange and international relationships. Project ZMBY is a program we hope will connect Chinese and English-speaking students for years to come.
Project ZMBY is led by Director Caleb Bello, who is a junior at Princeton University. For more info reach out to him personally: cb4260@princeton.edu.
In addition to the founding high school members, Project ZMBY has community partners in both the United States and China who aid in the implementation of this project, ranging from teachers to school administrators.
Our focus is currently students living in the USA and China, but we encourage all interested English-speaking students to apply.
