Below are instructions on how to apply to the ESE program, the ECDE program, and the ABA graduate certificate. Please read the instructions carefully.
Please note the instructions for the ECDE program are different than the instructions for applying to the ESE program.
How to Apply to UCF Graduate Studies for Early Childhood Development and Education M.S.:
Visit: https://application.graduate.ucf.edu/apply/
Select the term you wish to apply for (e.g., Fall 2025, Spring 2026, Summer 2026, etc.).
Create a user profile or log in to your existing account.
Start a new application:
a. A pop-up window will appear labeled 2025 Graduate Application
b. Click Create Application
c. Then, click Open Application
Complete the following sections with your personal and academic information:

Academic History
Fill out the UCF Degree Program Information:
a. Are you applying to an online-only program? ---> select Yes
b. Please select your level of study ---> select Master’s
c. Please select your online academic program of study ---> select Early Childhood Development and Education MS
d. When do you plan to begin your studies? ---> select the appropriate term (e.g., Fall 2025, Spring 2026, Summer 2026, etc.)
6. Next, fill out the rest of the application:

7. After you have completed the application, complete the “Signature” portion and then review the application
8. After these steps are completed, you will be able to submit your application and pay the application fee of $30
Important Notes: in addition to the general UCF graduate application requirements, applicants to this program must provide:
One official transcript (in a sealed envelope) from each college/university attended.
The GRE is not required for admission to this program.
Three letters of recommendation from academic sources.
Professional resumé.
Essay detailing career goals.
An interview (in person, virtual, or by phone) scheduled by the Early Childhood Graduate faculty.
Applicants applying to this program who have attended a college/university outside the United States must provide a course-by-course credential evaluation with GPA calculation. Credential evaluations are accepted from World Education Services (WES) or Josef Silny and Associates, Inc. only.
Admission materials will be scored on a rubric to quantify decision criteria.
Students who do not meet published admission requirements may be admitted provisionally and will be interviewed by a faculty program committee for final admission action. Other admission factors that may be used in selecting students for provisional admission to the program include previous teaching experience or work (i.e., social service agencies) with infants and young children, pre-kindergarten or primary age children and their families.
