The majority of climate refugees will work whatever job they can get since they may not have the education for some other jobs. Migrants contribute around 10% of global GDP. A lot of economists have calculated that if borders were removed global GDP would soar to 100% - 150%. That would equate to $90 trillion a year.
Believe it or not, migrants benefit the economy. They bring a greater diversity of skills to the workforce that improves the efficiency of the overall economy, which would then lead to more jobs being made. They also make the economy grow in size. They need to eat, get haircuts, etc., and by allowing them to spend the money that they make from their new jobs it benefits everybody at the end of the day.Â
