Christianna Blanchard-Alworth (Chrissy) is an award-winning Adapted Physical Educator with 25 years of experience working with students with autism and related conditions.  Chrissy is a fourth-year doctoral candidate and research fellow in Special Education at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.  Her research interests include examining the relation between physical activity and socialization for individuals with autism and identifying their experiences within education settings.  She enjoys teaching yoga and group exercise classes, spending time in nature, and relaxing with family and friends.
