I teach Computer Science (Programming and Web Development, with a little Cyber Security) at Burlington Tech Center.
I suspect that many students are good at Math and Science, like to solve problems for fun, and yet somehow have never written a computer program before.
How many times have you seen something on the menu at a restaurant and not ordered it because you never tried it before? Maybe it was described in a foreign language, or maybe you always order the same thing because if there's one time in your day when you want to be absolutely sure you are going to get your needs met, it's mealtime!
You could taste the food first, and then decide what to order? Some things taste a lot better than they look or sound. For example, vanilla ice cream looks a lot like drywall paste, which is what they use to show ice cream in commercials to avoid the hot lights melting it.
I invite you to try something new and dip your toe in the water of code. Add something to your menu that could lead to a challenging, very well paid career! No cost, no obligation. Why not?
