OCC's online registration system automatically enforces all World Language course prerequisites at the time of registration (see below to see Spanish course prerequisites). If you have completed the appropriate prerequisite course at Orange Coast, Golden West or Coastline with a "C" or better, the system will allow you to enroll in the OCC Spanish course as long as there are spaces available.
If you've met a prerequisite through coursework at another accredited college or university or through high school coursework, you'll need to complete a Prerequisite Clearance Request and submit it (along with appropriate documentation) online. You'll want to do this as early as possible before your registration appointment.
If you believe that you're prepared to enroll at a certain level through other experience you'll need to complete a Prerequisite Challenge Form. You can submit it along with any relevant documentation in person or via email to the instructor whose class section you're hoping to add or to the Literature and Languages Division Office (714.432.5716).
