PRL SIP Guidelines
For Summer Research Fellows selected through three National Science Academies, the respective faculty members can give acceptance for training, but for Accommodation, please do not give any assurance.
PRL may have around XX accommodations (beds) for PRL SIPs and Academy Summer Research Fellows.
Limited paid accommodation may be available on a first-come, first-served basis and up to 05 July 2025.
If any faculty member wishes to support a student through their Project Fund, then approval for the same is requested to be obtained from the competent authority.
All applications for students' visits for training/accommodation for the summer duration should be routed through the dean's office.
Faculty members who have agreed to take SRFs from three National Academies are also requested to provide information through the above form.
Please note the following guidelines with respect to SIP 2025.
-> PRL does NOT pay any stipend/fellowship to any intern (as per DoS norms).
-> Maximum 2 students per faculty is the current limit, and one of them being accommodated in GH/Hostel on a payment basis subject to the availability, initially, and after reviewing the accommodation availability, more students may be accommodated. We will try to keep adequate accommodation for Academy summer research fellows.
All concerned faculty members are requested to take note of the above and give confirmation to students accordingly.
After receiving the final count of Academy SRFs, we will be able to tell about the accommodation vacancies.
In view of the new JRFs joining the schedule in 2nd week of July 2025, the available accommodation will be provided max. up to 05 July 2025. So, PLEASE do not forward requests for an extension of the accommodation beyond 05 July 2025. Students can continue working at PRL beyond 5th July 2025 but WITHOUT accommodation.
All matters related to the accommodation will be routed through the Dean's office.
