Norms for PDFs ‐ Division Seminar & Extension of Tenure

Division Seminar by PDFs:

Each PDF should give one seminar every year, and one seminar definitely before coming for an extension for

the second year.

Extension Norms for PDFs:

The total period of post‐doctoral fellowship in PRL is maximum TWO years from the date of joining PRL.

However, under unforeseen circumstances extension of ONLY facilities up to a maximum ONE MONTH may be given subject to the formal request, which should be submitted by the PDF one month prior to the completion of 2nd year tenure. In case of consideration of the extension request by the PDF committee, a PDF will be required to make a presentation of his/her research work before the PDF committee which will also be attended by the PDF Supervisor.

Based on the performance of the PDF, he/she may be given a maximum of one‐month extension to use facilities like computer / Internet / library / canteen including entry into PRL and accommodation subject to remittance of requisite license fees. He/She will not be paid any fellowship, academic allowance and International Travel Grant during the extension period.
