PDF application SOP For Externally Funded SRFs

Standard Operating Guidelines for PDF Applications by Externally Funded SRFs

SRFs hosted by PRL with external funding and who wish to continue working as PDFs at PRL will be considered in the following manner.

1.  Externally funded SRFs who have enrolled for PhD degree through the PRL Academic Committee and have fulfilled all PhD requirements as applicable to PRL-funded SRFs (including coursework/reviews, etc.), can be considered as internal SRFs for the purpose of the PDF application process, screening and selection.

2.  Externally funded SRFs may choose a different supervisor or collaborate with another supervisor from or across the divisions with research overlap and mutual consent.

3. Externally funded SRFs who have NOT enrolled for PhD degrees through the PRL Academic committee will be considered as External applicants, and they need to apply for PDF positions as per the prescribed application procedure for external candidates.
