Welcome to CitizenONE (“we”, “our”, “us”).
By signing in or using the CitizenONE mobile application (“App”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Use of the App

CitizenONE is a neighbourhood social digest and  community-driven platform for sharing safety alerts, reporting incidents, and receiving real-time notifications based on location.

You agree to use the App responsibly and not for:

• illegal activities
  
  

• harassment, abuse, or misinformation
  
  

• posting fake or misleading alerts
  
  

• violating privacy of others
  
  

We may suspend or terminate accounts violating these terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be:

• at least 18 years old
  
  

• currently located in India 

• using the App for lawful purposes
  
  

3. User Accounts

You agree to:

• provide accurate information
  
  

• keep your account secure
  
  

• not share your account with others
  
  

You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4 .User-Generated Content

You may post safety alerts,  comments ,location-based reports ..By posting User Content to the App, you grant CitizenONE a worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform the User Content in connection with the App and CitizenONE’s business, including without limitation for presenting, operating, improving, and displaying content within the App and related services

You must not upload:

* copyrighted content without permission
* violent or harmful content
* false emergency information
* content that is defamatory, libelous, false, or knowingly misleading.
*content that violates the privacy or publicity rights of any third party.
*By posting content, you warrant (promise) that you are the sole creator and owner of all rights to the content and have the full legal right to grant the license specified above.**

5. Camera & Media

Camera access is used to capture Live Photos for safety reports. These photos are tagged with your current GPS coordinates to ensure community accuracy. CitizenONE does not record video or access the camera in the background. . 

AI Information (Groq/Llama 80B)

"CitizenONE provides an AI Assistant for informational purposes.

1. No Liability: AI-generated responses may contain inaccuracies ('hallucinations'). Do not rely on AI for legal, medical, or emergency decisions.

2. Not a Substitute: The AI is not a replacement for official emergency services (100/101/108)."

6. Data & Privacy

Your data is handled according to our Privacy Policy.
By using the App, you agree to our data practices.

7. Third-Party Services

We use:

• Google Firebase
  
  

• Google Maps
  
  

• Authentication APIs
  
  

These services have their own terms and privacy practices.

8. Content Moderation

We may review or remove content that:

• violates community guidelines

• is misleading or harmful

• violates laws

We may also report serious incidents to authorities if necessary.

9.Indemnification 

You (User) agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CitizenONE (and its owner, employees, and agents) from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, and expenses (including, but not limited to, attorney's fees) arising from: (i) your use of and access to the App; (ii) any User Content you post; (iii) your violation of any term of these T&C; and (iv) your violation of any third-party right, including without limitation any copyright, property, or privacy right. This indemnification obligation will survive the termination of these Terms and your use of the App.


10.Termination

We may suspend or delete your account for:

• misuse

• illegal activity

• repeated violations

• You may delete your account anytime by clicking in profile tab.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Indian law.
Courts in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, shall have jurisdiction.

12:  SafePoints System

  SafePoints are a gamification feature that recognizes community contributions.

  Important Limitations:

  - SafePoints have NO monetary value

  - SafePoints CANNOT be exchanged for money, goods, services, vouchers, or gift cards

  - SafePoints CANNOT be transferred, sold, or redeemed

  - SafePoints are purely a recognition score within the app

  - SafePoints do not constitute property or have any intrinsic value

  - We reserve the right to adjust, remove, or modify SafePoints at any time

  SafePoints may be displayed on user profiles as a measure of community contribution and helpfulness.


13. Limitation of Liability & Emergency Services

• Not an Emergency Service: CitizenONE is a social digest and community information and awareness platform. It is NOT a replacement for official emergency services (e.g., Police, Fire, Ambulance). In a life-threatening emergency, always contact official authorities (100/101/108) first.

• Data Accuracy: We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of user-generated safety alerts. Use the information provided in the App at your own risk.

• No Liability: CitizenONE shall not be liable for any damages resulting from your reliance on App content or any failure of the App due to network outages or device malfunctions.
